Privacy Policy

How Servicetec collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information — in plain English.

Last updated: June 2026

1. Who we are

Servicetec Pty Ltd ("Servicetec", "we", "us", "our") operates this website and the customer portal at app.servicetec.com.au. For any privacy enquiry, contact us at hello@servicetec.com.au.

2. What information we collect

We collect personal information you provide directly to us and a small amount of anonymous usage data:

  • Form submissions. Name, email, phone, company or venue name, location, type of venue, approximate number of kitchens, current service arrangement, and the message you send us.
  • Customer account information. For customers using our portal: contact details, site addresses, asset records, service history, and compliance reports.
  • Anonymous analytics. We use Plausible Analytics, which records pages viewed, referrer, country, and browser type. No cookies. No personal identifiers. No cross-site tracking.

3. How we use it

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to enquiries and prepare quotes.
  • Schedule site audits and ongoing service.
  • Bill customers and manage accounts.
  • Send compliance reports, service records, and maintenance reminders.
  • Improve our website and services in aggregate.

4. How we store it

Customer and submission data is held in an Australian-hosted PostgreSQL database (Supabase, Sydney region), encrypted at rest. Files (photos and PDF reports) are stored in S3-compatible object storage with the same Australian region. Access is restricted to authorised Servicetec staff.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us run the business:

  • Email delivery. Resend handles transactional email — quote replies, compliance reports, password resets.
  • Hosting and infrastructure. Laravel Cloud and Supabase host the application and database.
  • Accounting. Xero, for invoicing and billing customers we have a service agreement with.

We may also disclose information where required by law.

6. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Make a complaint about how we have handled your information.

Send any request or complaint to hello@servicetec.com.au. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you remain unsatisfied, you can refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

7. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the "last updated" date at the top.
